Good Ole Rocky Top

Andy and Jackson listening to the band

Andy, Jackson, and Smokey
Jackson and his Aunt Amanda

Last Saturday, we took Jackson to see the Vols play at Neyland Stadium. He was so excited about going to a football game to watch "Daddy's players." Luckily, a good nap and Cars movie kept him occupied for the drive to Knoxville. He was so thrilled to see the band march into the stadium and was clapping the entire time. His favorite part was meeting Smokey. When we left, he told me the orange players are daddy's players and my players and mommy's players. Andy grew up going to all the UT games, and I definitely think the tradition will continue. Jackson is already a huge fan.

Walt Disney World

Here is the final installment of the Walt Disney World pictures...sorry, I took over 200 pictures and there were so many that I loved. I had to share lots! Please pardon my short novel on my blog and humor me. There is really nothing like being in Walt Disney World. It is just such a unique place. This probably be our last trip for a while. We have to wait until baby Drew can handle all the excitement and we can handle two kids. Several people commented on me going to Disney World being pregnant. I think that may be the easiest way to take two kids to Disney World. We always knew where one was and had two pairs of eyes to watch the other.

Jackson's Favorites

Jackson enjoyed so many things at Walt Disney World. It was so fun to see his little face light up when he got excited. Here some pictures from his favorite experiences. He liked Pirates of the Caribbean when he rode it the second time and now sings "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate like a me." It is hillarious. He really loved riding the carousel, Dumbo, and Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster. He rode each of those 3 or 4 times. The last picture is him at "Lights, Motors, Actions" at MGM Studios. He called this the car crash show. He sat in Andy's lap the entire show and was completely mesmorized by the cars and motorcycles. Meeting all the characters was also a treat for him. He got to see a lot of the ones from Playhouse Disney. His other favorites were riding the train and the monorail. He even got to ride in the front car of the monorail. Overall, Jackson had a wonderful time.

The Whole Gang

The Forresters and the Parkers with Goofy at Chef Mickey's...I know it may be a challenge to decide which one is Goofy.
Robbie and Andy are probably going to need to see a chiropractor after carrying Tyler and Jackson around Disney World
Everybody with Mickey at the Garden Grill in Epcot...yes, Mickey is pointing at my baby belly!
Stephanie and Tyler...we celebrated Stephanie's birthday in Disney World

We had a really fun time with the Forresters at the "world." Hopefully, they can say the same thing about us. Stephanie had fun riding Soarin' together twice. It was so relaxing that we felt like we had a massage. Andy and Robbie had fun riding Star Tours and Expedition Everest. All of us loved watching Finding Nemo--The Musical at Animal Kingdom. Of course, everyone loved the free Disney Dining plan. We got to eat at some great places like Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Fun with Tyler at Walt Disney World

Jackson and Tyler in their costumes at Mickey's Halloween party
Here are some pictures of Jackson and Tyler in Walt Disney World. They had so much fun and were in complete amazement of everything going on around them. It was really hard to get Jackson to sleep for naps and bedtime because he was so excited about everything he had seen and done. They both did really good while we were gone. Of course, Jackson did want to play tackle with Tyler every chance he got. Luckily, Tyler is pretty cool with that and does not mind playing rough. Jackson can just me Mr. Aggressive sometimes. I am not sure if it just a boy thing or what.

More Disney pictures to come...

First Day of School

Before school with his bag and lunch box
After...asleep on the couch

Jackson had a great first day of school...he loved it! He told me all about playing on the playground, reading a book about pancakes and piggies, and playing basketball in the gym. The only bad thing was he did not take a nap at school. I really did not expect him to do that. When we got home, he was so excited about the day. He finally fell asleep on the couch for about 30 minutes. In case you are wondering what I did on my first day of school...cleaned out my closet. So much fun!

Franklin Classic

Tyler and Jackson waiting to cheer for their daddies
Andy running in downtown Franklin
One of our family traditions is to participate in the Franklin Classice on Labor Day. Andy ran the 10K race yesterday and did great. Then, he walked the 4K with Jackson and me. It is a wonderful event in downtown Franklin. As you can see, Jackson had to wear his sweatband and running shirt because he was "running" with daddy. He thinks his t-shirt is a running shirt because it has a moon (Nike swoosh) like daddy's running shirts.

60th Wedding Anniversary

My grandparents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday. Our family had a reception in their honor. It was great to see everybody. Of course, people remembered me from when I was Jackson's age and wanted to talk about that. Jackson enjoyed the cake and juice and being the center of the attention.

Harpeth Hills Preschool

Jackson has his first full day of preschool on Tuesday. He is really excited and talks about going to school and taking his lunch box. The real test will on Tuesday when the fun begins. I know he will love it. There might be a small adjustment period. We went on Friday to sneak-a-peek and meet his teachers, Miss Ashley and Miss Michelle. They are absolutely wonderful and are perfect for Jackson. Also, Ford and Carter are in Jackson's class, which he will like having some familiar faces. I know he will have a blast with them. I am looking forward to several days to run errands and do some last minute things before Drew comes. I cannot wait to hear what Jackson has to say when I pick him up on Tuesday...it should be interesting!

Potty Time

Sorry for the delay in posting...I had a blogging sabatical for several days. I had to post this picture of Jackson. The other day when he needed to go poo poo, he informed me he needed a magazine. So, I went and got one of his Elmo books. For the Seinfeld fans, the book has now been marked since it has been in the bathroom...just kidding.

We are so proud of Jackson and his potty training. He has done so great and continues to amaze me.
